The Reading Room

Mandate

The Maritime History Archive collects and preserves documents relating to the history of maritime activities in Newfoundland and Labrador and throughout the North Atlantic world.

Location

230 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador

We are located in the Henrietta Harvey (Mathematics) building on the campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 2 PM - 4 PM.

Parking

Visitors to the archive can now obtain a parking permit. The Parking Office requires at least three hours notice if you require a visitor permit. If you need a permit in the morning, please submit your application by noon the previous day. Visit CAMPUS ENFORCEMENT AND PATROL to fill out an application. Please note that we are located in the Henrietta Harvey (Mathematics) building.
