Sat. April 10th 1915 Joseph Clark began in afternoon whitewashing fence by Tel. office whitewashed entirely lengths

Monday, 12 J Clark & simeon Bursy spent the day at same work finished the fence leading past the shop to factory & four lengths or the end of fence on the North side of Church lengths in all

April 13, Tuesday

Tuesday 13 J. Clark s. Bursy & Fredk. Mansfield employed a [sic] continuation of same work All the fence leading by Bursy's land finished likewise the fence by carriage house and that leading by church road remains to be done on inside only ___

April 14, Wednesday

Wed 14 Most of men in on ridge clearing plot for cemetery Joseph Clark spent afternoon [tonning?] up oil 5 Casks S. Bursy spent a little time w-washing & was also to W. Brook for board & pailing.

April 15, Thursday

Thursday 15 S. Bursey began work 9 am went to mill for board & pailings & afterward made repair to fences. [Joseph?] Clark began same hour filled 7 casks with oil & in the afternoon went to H.Hr for goods brot by Schnr "May"

Friday 16 Simeon Bursy & Joseph Clark [whitewing?] all day yard now finished around house & stable betwen [sic] shop & cook room & length beyond

Sat 17 Joseph Clark employed with his horse & cart forenoon hauling longers etc from mill afternoon whitewas wCloset pigs house & two lengths of Elisha fence Simeon Bursy washing all day & Ches Driscoll from 11:30 to 6 pm Yard leading to [brig?] on North side of road finish & Elisha [lead leading by?] Jabez Clarks [land? nearly finished?]

April 20, Tuesday

Tuesday 20 The day being a little wet S.B. was only employed the afternn when he finished E Yard w.w his well house & one side of cook room J.C. spent from breakfast hour until evening hauling board from our mill at W.B.

April 21, Wednesday

Wed. 21 went to HHr at 7 with horse & cart retd 12:15 with load of goods afternoon again hauld two loads from same mill Simeon Bursy was again WW finished the cook room, & with the help of Ches Driscoll who began at work at 9:30 whitewashed w.w the stable Elisha spent the day hauling slabs & board from mill or [?] place Eveng [sic] visit from Mgte Vatcher

April 22, Thursday

Thursday 22 Mgs. visited us on his return spent little time with us. S.B. & Ches. Driscoll who began work at 9 am tarred the Roof of L Factory today & w washed all of it except S. end. Jos. Clark was again employed with horse & cart & carted 45 posts from W.B. mill load of board & pailings from same mill & one or more loads from mill of place two loads of slabs was also carted from it by our mare

Friday 23 S. Bursy & Ches. Driscoll & James Driscoll work all day The former two finished w.w factory tarrd roof of small store & ww it also North side of & part of E end of fish store, the later [sic] tarred the roof of the two well houses and painted the facing of them also all of the windows and facings of stable Cellar house gate by cellar and gate post by my dwelling and a little to carriage house

Sat 24 Cold & Chilly so that work of whitewash etc was suspended to day

April 26, Monday

Monday 26 Jas Goodwin was empled with our mare & cart & carted 4 loads of slabs & a load of posts from W.B. mill Jas Driscoll painted facings of carriage & cook house also water clst & pigs house & that of cod liver factory as well except door & 2 windows of West end S Bursy & Ches Driscoll was empled all day & Ed J warfied who began at 11:30 am they finished w-washing first store & s west end of stage & tarrd one side & half of the other of the roof of store on wharf. 10 window sashes was painted also. Fred Mansfd was employed in the after noon fencing & Sml. Woodld with Geo C Mansfd spent the day making repair to trap skiff

Tuesday 27 Jas Goodwin carted 2 Loads slabs & a load of posts from W.B. S. Bursy & Ed J D finished tarring store & w.w. sides of stage Jas D. & Ches D finished painting factory small store & part of S.S of fish store all in forenoon afternoon owing to appeare of weather the evening was spent in making an attempt to put some stakes in the beach by factory

Wed. 28 Fred Mansfied doing repairs to fence around farm for horse Sim Bursy & Ed. Driscoll finished ww store Jas Driscoll finished paint fish store except west side S. J Woodland & Josiah Mansfd with Ches Driscoll spent much of the day partily putting up fence by factory some studding was also nailed to wharf by sJw & others. Jos. Clark Jas. Goodwin Jr & Walter Woodld was at H.Hr. & carted down meat sugar & mols

Friday 30 The plank sawed for wharf was all put on today by S.JW. & Jas D & the fence by The fence by factory was finish being put up by Jas Driscoll & J.M the only two emplyed at it

Sat May 1 Today the forenoon was spent by them in sawing of the railings & stakes & rounding the pailings afternoon J.M whitewash the outer side leading by the road & cleaned up the ground as well

June 25, Friday

At this writing June Friday 25 they have not appeared in any large school but a few has been got by some of the fishermen all the days of the week Fredk Mansfied & his crew some by land others by motor boat left at 10 am. for H.Hr to sail in the Garnishee for the Straits but the wind is light Easterly & foggy & it has been thus every day past of the week so that she returned home again and did not sail until 6 pm

Sat. 26 in compay with Schnr Corronation Caplin was hard to be obtained at any time during week but on Sunday 27th they made their appearance in large schools everywhere

& Monday 28 Lots were gotten a sea was on to day & with difficulty a few traps were hauled S. J Woodland secured the best haul. 19 Tubs on Tuesday

29 A great sea is on with strong Notherly wind and showery many fears for the safety of traps Caplin in abundance and all busily engaged gathering them up for their lands. Wm Hefford of the Schnr Flora who has salt & other freight for us now lying at HHr visited us to make arrangements about landing etc.
