Scope and Content: Series consists of 468 student papers collected by John Kennedy in his Anthropology 2220 course titled Labrador Society and Culture. The major topics covered include: archaeology and prehistory; social and cultural history; environment, technology and economy; society; polity and politics; ideology and world view; and modernization. Emphases is placed on the dichotomy between the tradition-oriented pre-Confederation past (prior to 1949) and post-Confederation era characterized by rapid change.
