night & then the Sociable on Monday night and prayers Friday night. Sometimes we call two meetings a week; when Mr. Grouchy wishes to propose something.

This week I am going to clean the flower garden. I had some pansies and Nasturtiums and Shirley Poppies from Toronto. I also ordered for peonies & rose trees but did not get them as the duty to send them was 30 cents; but I must send right on and get them. I think our rose trees are going to be good this year.

(Mother is hard at framing yet. She just said, "tis so warm" and no wonder, its hammering and fixing pictures, no stop at all).

I must now tell you about the two concerts, viz –: Women's & ours. Some people said the women's was best, perhaps it was but we made most money, realizing $35.50. After our concert the women sold refreshments, making $6.00.

We have had a picture taken of the way we were dressed in one part of the concert. I shall send it to you for inspection as soon as I get it; but you must return it again. Mr. Staples took it. He is a first rate hand at it.

We opened our concert with "Jingle Bells." Keeping time by marching; then it was "Scene in a Blackwood School," then "Topsy Turvy" then "Skidmore Guards" – that was very nice –.
