I am in the land of the living." (He calls you Winnie). Then he asks me what it would cost to put a stamp on an envelope. I told him two cents. He then wanted to know where they were to be got. I told him, at the post office. He went off with that much. I thought he was going to write you.

By & by, mother came in with two cents Granfer had given her for me. I was obliged to laugh. I don't know what I have to do with them. I suppose I must buy a post card and put his name on it. Isn't it funny! Look out next time for this famous post card from Granfer. I shall have to pay my own two cents to send it. If I had known at first that it was to buy a post card, I might have asked him for 4 cents; but you know I thought he was going to write a letter, and wanted a two-cent stamp. Poor Granfer, he is laughable some times.
