| Scope and Content: | The collection includes 23 hand-coloured and 36 black and white lantern slides, mostly of the northern peninsula, Newfoundland, Labrador and of Quebec. The images show Dr. Grenfell's work in St. Anthony and Conche in Newfoundland, Battle Harbour and Indian Harbour in Labrador and Harrington Harbour in Quebec. All of the images have been described at the item level on the MHA photograph catalogue. |
| Custodial History: | Donated to the MHA by John Connors, Saint John, New Brunswick in January, 1998. His father had bought them at an auction more than fifty years earlier. |
