In 1972 she emigrated to the USA, pursuing a career in medical rehabilitation. The Stokers travelled extensively around Newfoundland in the 1960s. The images in this fonds were created during one of those early trips taken around the coast of Newfoundland in 1960. The family left St. John's July 22, 1960 on the S.S. Northern Ranger, sailing up the northeast coast to southern Labrador, and then down to Corner Brook. From there they travelled by car to Port aux Basques, where they boarded the S.S. Bar Haven to visit ports along Newfoundland's south coast. The photographs were taken by various family members, including Richard, who developed a life-long interest in photography. | Source Donor: | Richard Stoker | Collection Title: | Stoker Family Photograph fonds | Restrictions on Access: | Copyright held by the Maritime History Archive.
