Biography/Admin History: Newfoundland sealing vessel "Beothic" (ON 127687), was built in 1909 and owned by the Thetis Steamship Company of St. John's. It was the first of the St. John's steel sealing steamers. Went to the ice from 1909 - 1915. Sold in 1916 to the Russian govermment and renamed "Georgiy Sedoff".
