Biography/Admin History: S.S. "Marsland" was built at Glasgow in 1926, official number 149741, registered in London in 1926 and owned in 1927 by Walmar Steamship Co., London. Ran aground and was wrecked at South Head, St. John's Newfoundland, when on route from Cadiz for St.John's with a cargo of salt, 2 July 1933.
