| Biography/Admin History: | The schooner "Kate," Official Number 60607, was built in 1868 at Dartmouth, Nova Scotia by W. Couch. She was originally built as a schooner but was altered to a brigantine in 1887. She was owned by John Rorke, a merchant from Carbonear, Newfoundland. "Kate" was abandoned at sea on March 26, 1894. The registry closed on December 31, 1894. |
