day, such a crowd of us. The Women's Association work in the same room. They bought the stove and lamps and curtains for the room. We bought six bolts of paper to paper it. We are now going to order for a large frosted glass for the door, which will cost us $4.00 or thereabouts. It is rather expensive isn't it. I don't know why there was such a large place left for a glass. Of course we can get an ordinary glass much cheaper than $4.00; but Mr. Grouchy wishes to have one opaque, so that we won't see in his rooms, and they won't see in our room. We are also going to buy white paint for the doors and windows. We shall start painting it the coming week. Mr. Grouchy suggested that we should get oil cloth for the floor, but we are not all in favour of it; as there are two societies using it; but we may change our minds later on, as we are all working or aiming at the one subject.
I wish you could see the organ, it is just grand; but it is in debt a little yet. We have paint to paint the inside of the Church.
When Edward Owen Fudge & Manuel Poole came from Oporto a short while ago they brought some artificial flowers & presented them to the Church. Very good of them, wasn't it. They are placed on the altar.
