 RecID:   2255
 Mariner:   Bowden, Andrew
 Age:   22
 Destination:   West Indies
 Duration (mths):   8.8
 Year:   1760
 Wage (£Mass):   48
 Wage (£Sterling):   37.05
 Shipowner(s):   Orne Family
 Sources:   Orne, b1/f6
Notes:   Schooner Betsy, John Hodges, master. His rank was not stated. I have assumed it from the wage. There were two portledge bills. The later one showed that a Nicholas Lander had signed on the vessel in December, likely while it was in the West Indies. He received a lower wage than the other mariners. His surname could also have been Bowden, but I suspect that it was actually Bruden.
