 Notes:   Entered Maryland on May 26, 1697 and cleared for Salem on July 22, 1697 carrying 1300 hogsheads of tobacco. But on the return voyage the vessel was captured by the French off Block Island. The owner's son James Lindall was carried to Placentia as a hostage to ensure that the £250 ransom for the vessel would be paid.
