Charles Lloyd Prichard, Jr., son of Charles Lloyd and Catherine Alice Prichard, was born 9 August 1918 at Syracuse, New York. He had one younger sister named Lyla, and an older brother named Rhys. He registered in the US service draft 16 October 1940. He served as a carpenter's mate and was lost at sea on the USS Pollux on 18 February 1942, at the age of 23. He is memorialized at the Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse, New York.
