They are painting it inside too and canvassing it.
You say you would change sausages for cabbage. I wish I were near you. We haven't had any sausages since Art left the last time. We have some cabbage left from last year. We are talking of having cabbage cooked over in the Guild Room later on. I prefer sausages – twenty times over – to cabbage. I am positively certain I should never tire of sausages, they are scrumptious.
I suppose you know Will is sick, (Uncle Levi's Will) I have just been in to see him: but he says he is a little better today. Mr. Grouchy was down to see him the other day. He has been miserable enough. He strained his side while working at something another and the result has been very bad indeed. He was sick for a time & got out: now he hasn't been able to get out this long time. Isn't he thin, his cheekbones are so high. Mr. Grouchy told me that Uncle Levi was nervous, I suppose he thought that Will was very miserable; but he is over the dangerous point the Dr. said. Mother says he is a little better too.
Watson hasn't done anything this year, owing to the rheumatism which he has about him. When Will got out, there used to be the three of them, Watson and Will and Will Fudge walking about. Neither of them able to do anything. Will Fudge has consumption in.
