his left arm. He keeps a shingle on it all the time. The Dr. healed his lungs & now it has shown itself in his arm; but he looks so well, his face so red and healthy looking, however his looks deceive him.

After Children's Service to day Sal & I went right around to the point of beach & then on board of “The Gay Gordon.” She is a splendid vessel. It is the one that Edward Owen and Will John Rose and Albert Willie and Manuel Poole went across to Oporto in. A man took us down the cabin. She is very nicely done & looks so large.

Tell Bish we have had our Guild Sociable: but not half the girls went. My partner was Uncle Levi, Rhynie had Uncle John (Watson's father). Stel had Mr. Isaac Burke who is down here repairing his boat. Reta had Phillip Cluett. Beat Kearley had Mr. Pearce and Hilda Tom Drakes. Frances had her Grandfather, and Mr. Grouchy was out with us. We had a gay time. I think the old fellows enjoyed themselves immensely. Mr. Pearce danced so many times. Uncle Levi sat back and killed himself laughing at them. Just imagine Phillip Cluett and Mr. Pearce and Uncle Johnie and them dancing. I shall never forget it. Rhynie laughed so much out in the first dance that she had to sit.

We had games of all kinds. I wish you had been there when we were redeeming the forfeits. Tryphie and Mr. Pearce had to dance a step dance on the table; and
