In 2007 Wayde was the mayor of St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, Gus was a rescue participant in the Pollux and Truxtun disaster in February of 1942, Lanier is a survivor from the USS Truxtun and Fred's brother, Charles Carman Crisafulli, lost his life on the USS Truxtun on February 18, 1942.
